Malik Garner — Men's Basketball
Malik Garner (Midland, Mich. // H.H. Dow HS) posted a team high of 17 points against the #24 Lake Superior State Lakers Thursday (Dec. 9) evening and contributed his career high of six boards to round out his game-high of 37 minutes.
The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday (Dec. 16) against Northwood Univeristy at 8 p.m. in Riepma Arena.
Laurel Jacqmain — Women's Basketball
Redshirt freshman guard Laurel Jacqmain (Saginaw, Mich. // Nouvel Catholic HS) posted her first double-double with 13 points and her career high of 10 rebounds for the Cardinals during the 77-72 victory over Ferris State on Saturday (Dec. 9) in O'Neill Arena.
Jacqmain previously broke her own career record in boards on Thursday (Dec. 7) night, as she posted eight and notched her career high in points with 16 in the first win of the season against the Lake Superior State Lakers, 64-52.
The Lady Cards return to play on Saturday against Northwood University in Riepma Arena. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
